Reversal of Time: The Day of Final Judgment

We have idea about 3 dimensions only. And if we consider time as the fourth dimension, then we have four dimensions at all. When the number of dimensions become more than four, it goes beyond our understanding capabilities. We cannot deny the scientific possibility of having more than four dimensions as the Qur’anic verses also support it. With the effect of multi-dimensions, time axis will also be reversed which will finally reach the final Day of Judgment.

The universe is expanding since its creation. Hubbell, an eminent astronomer made this discovery in the early part of this century. It was also predicted by Einstein’s theory of general relativity. The expansion of the universe is clearly mentioned in the following Qur’anic verses.

The heavens, we have built with power, and, we are expanding it.

Time is one of the most elusive mysteries of the universe. No one knows what time actually is. Time passes slowly within objects moving at speeds closed to that of light and stops altogether at the speed of light. Time also slows near massive objects like earth, sun, very dense stars called the neutron stars and almost stops inside the super massive stars, the black holes.  

Time has a direction as well. It always moves towards the future. We see rain falling from the sky, objects breaking up, people getting older and dying. We do not see a glass unbroken or anyone returning from the dead. That could happen only if time run backwards. Some physicists like Michael Berry, Thomas Gold and Steven Hawking have proposed that time may reverse when the universe begins to contract. Verses in the Qur’an suggest that one day the universe will start contracting and this will coincide with the beginning of the day of final judgment and reversal of time.

The Day, when we shall roll up the heavens as a recorder rolls up a written scroll. As we began the first creation, we shall repeat it.

In the above verse, ‘The Day’ refers to the day of final judgment and the contraction of the universe is compared to the closing of a scroll. This is when time may reverse. Reversal of time will cause man to rise from grave and again become alive. Every event will be displayed in three dimensions again as everything has been recorded in time. But, the process of going back to mother’s womb will not take place due to the effect of multi-dimensions.

Now we can’t but accept the possibility that time shall be reversed and the final Day of Judgment shall take place as described in the holy Qur’an. So, there is nothing to deny the concept of Akhirat and resurrection of mankind. This is highly scientific. Those who are faithful to science alone must rethink and prepare for that mysteries and happenings of that very day. We all should work to obey the Almighty Allah subhanahu ta’la. May Allah makes us aware of this very time (Ameen)!
